BURNING YOUR CANDLE:
- When first lighting your candle ensure the wick has been trimmed to approximately 5mm.
- Your candle will need to burn for 3 hours on your first burn to ensure your candle doesn't tunnel.
- Each time you burn your candle ensure the wick has been trimmed to approximately 5mm to prevent your candle from smoking. Your candle will burn quicker and smoke if the wick is too long and will not burn as well if the wick is too short.
- Allow the candle to cool before relighting, and before cutting the end of the wick.
- You may notice a 'mushrooming' on your wick, regular trimming will prevent this.
- Keep candles away from sunlight and heat sources - candles will lose their scent and may discolour when placed in direct sunlight.
- Keep the burn pool clean; you may wash soy candle gently in cool water - make sure it is air dry before use.
- Never burn your candle for longer than 4 hours to avoid a larger flame.
- If the candle is creating an uneven burn, simply adjust the wick to the centre of the container or the side that needs more heat.
- Simply wipe the black that may occur inside the jar, if any, with damp cloth.
- For safety reasons we recommend extinguishing your candle when it has approximately 2mm left in the jar. If left to burn after the wax has evaporated the metal wick tab can cause the jar to overheat.
FROSTING:
Frosting is an indication that we are using natural soy wax in our candles. This natural process won’t affect the performance of the candle, and is proof that our candles are chemical free, allowing for a cleaner burn and a healthier choice for your home.
RECYCLE:
Reuse your candle jar. Simply clean out with warm soapy water and your jar is ready to live on. Reuse for plant cuttings, toothbrush holder or anything you like!
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
Do not leave your candle unattended.
Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours.
Keep candles out of direct sunlight and away from hot temperatures.
Always place candles on a heat-resistant base and set on a level stable surface.
WARNING: FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN FIRE, HAZARD OR INJURY.
